“Symmetry doesn’t even matter, and probably causes more problems than it solves” Dean Somerset
Yes. YES. YES!!
I wished I would have read this prior to finishing Volume 3 in our New Language of Movement Series. Volume 3 is All about the Asymmetrical Strategies. From his standpoint, it is that people develop differently based on what they are exposed to. (The whole adaptation thing I go into in Volume 3). The human body is designed to be imperfectly symmetrical, meaning, there can be individualized asymmetries in our bodies. Symmetrical design has its purposes that allow us to be human, but breaking symmetry (Asymmetry) is a sign of complexity and advancement.
Read his blog, then read Volume 3 – it will be available March 1!
